Since his appointment in July 2023, Paris Saint-Germain, under the guidance of Luis Enrique, has largely sidestepped the perils of prolonged injuries. However, the club now faces a significant setback as Kvaratskhelia succumbs to a cruciate ligament tear, further diminishing their roster.
Nuno Mendes, who was the second longest-serving absentee during this period, sustained an injury prior to Louis Enrique's appointment. The Portuguese forward suffered a hamstring strain in May 2023, marking the end of the 2022-23 campaign. This injury led to his absence from 41 official matches, a span that began from the opening day of the 2023-24 Ligue 1 season on August 12, 2023, and concluded when he made his return to action on February 17, 2024.
Following this, Louis Enrique's tenure as a coach was marred by several significant injuries. Lucas Hernandez suffered from a knee injury, Enjolras grappled with leg muscle issues, Gonçalo Ramos endured an ankle injury, and Fabian Ruiz faced chronic knee problems, all leading to lengthy periods of absence from the field.
